Sharpen the Mind

Wouldn't it be great to have a mind that  brims with intelligence, remembers all of the things that it is told, has great understanding and can talk about things with complete ease, confidence and fluency?

 

Wow that really would be something.

 

This kind of mind is the mind of a young person, who eats right, does exercise and avoids deep fried foods, like chips, that slow it down.

 

A diet rich in antioxidants, which comes from dark coloured fruit and berries, helps to protect the brain from free radical damage.

 

The brain is mostly fat, so we need to keep it supplied with the right kind of oils to have it work optimally. Having food like salmon, sardines and tuna keeps the brain stocked up with DHA  which helps it thrive.

 

Herbs like Ginko and Brahmi enhance mental functions and bring extra oxygen to the brain. Turmeric is calming and stimulates the brain to produce more neural connections, boosting the brains capacity and helps to ward off cognitive decline.

 

Stress limits and derails the brain. Play calming music like Baroque music to gain more peace and composure. It will help your mind to work better and be more relaxed.

 

Treat yourself to a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed. Thinking well happens when we intentionally do things that are good for us.
